Greenbrier River Trail -
operated by West Virginia State Parks, is a 77 mile (120 kilometer) long former
railroad, now used for hiking, bicycling, ski-touring, and wheel-chair use. The
former Greenbrier Division of the C. & O. Railway was built at the turn of
the century to serve the booming timber industry of that time.
